Amber Cordell was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and is currently based in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Like her late father, she is a singer, songwriter and guitar picker. Her greatest musical influences are Natalie Merchant, The Cranberries, Dolly Parton, Fleetwood Mac, Adele, Miranda Lambert, The Chicks and Kacey Musgraves. In addition to covering those artists, Amber plays a mix of originals, old and new country, Americana, pop and rock music from the 60s to today. Before she relocated from Michigan, she was a member of the bands Amber and the Bad Habits and Double Secret Probation and was in a duo with Michigan Bluegrass Hall of Fame member Ron Mckeever. She is currently enjoying playing solo and in collaboration with friends on various projects. When she isn’t singing her heart out, she is a full-time International educator at Emory University.
